Salt&Syrup is a boutique stationery brand and design studio based in Stockholm, Sweden created by Emily Ranneby, an American designer and illustrator. We specialize in illustrations, note cards, announcements and invitations and miscellaneous paper goods, but we are always open to working on creative projects in other mediums.
Our products feature Emily’s whimsical and minimalistic designs which often include unexpected combinations that feel both nostalgic and contemporary. She is fond of using simple shapes to create sophisticated illustrations and pairing them with smart, classic typography. She finds inspiration in vintage children’s books and toys, Japanese illustration, mid-century modernism, Paris in the 1960s, the fashion industry, Scandinavian minimalism and sometimes the grocery store.
Salt&Syrup has been fortunate to design exclusive collections for Minted, American Greetings, MyPublisher and Snapfish by HP. In 2009, we launched a limited edition letterpress note card collection, which sold in selected boutiques and shops around the world.
Our stationery and invitations have been featured in two design books, The Little Book of Letterpress and Reinventing Letterpress, as well as numerous blogs including Brides.com, People.com, 100 Layer Cake.
